The movements he helped lead were to rise the status of India's lowest polluting group, embraced efforts to mobilize women struggling against Britain's to believe in their role in a marriage and society and he also preached hatred of Muslims. What made him different from other leaders at the time because he was known for his conduct during his campaigns which were non-violent.
